Memphis number 1

You know some people say your not a true fan unless you have being with the team during the winning streak and their loosing streak. Well to an extent yes but people change their minds all the time plus people don't like loosing so that's why they mite change the team that the like or move away from the team that they use to like because they are loosing now. For example the Memphis tigers they were nobodies a couple of years ago but now that they are really good all of their games are sold out. I'm a freshman and i really didn't know that much about the history of the team but i started to become more appreciative of them since they were really good and i get in to the games for free. When the season started i was there but it was not a sold out event. Now its hard to get in even if you are a student. I like them already before being number one but now even more because i can tell all my other friends back home and in other universities that i go to that school that has the number one team in the nation. Its great and i wish them the best of luck during their entire season and i hope that they go to the finals and win it all.

Gabriel, you are right that there are fans that always go with the best team and if their team is not good anymore they just change their favorite team. I would describe these people not as fans because they “fake” a situation which is stays just as long as their team plays well. In contrast to the “real” fan; this fan buys stocks from his team, wears their colors all day long, and never misses a game, a report or even a comment about his team. I am a “real” fan of Roger Federer (tennis number 1)!!!

Dear Red Sox Fan,
Gabe, you're a "Bandwagon" fan! LoL! I'm glad I am not one of those! Its alright to change your mind about what team you like, but don't constanly change! It really gets annoying when somebody is claims to be long time fans of one team, and when they start losing they switch teams. Its like a never ending chain of trading. I have liked the same teams since I can remember. I have only switched teams once. I was taught to pick a team and stick with them through the good and the bad. (Unless that team is the Memphis Grizzlies, where it is ALL BAD!hahaha)But that is what makes sports fun. You never know if your team is going to live up to its potential or not!
Sincerely,
New York Yankees Fan!
